This year, WFWA Celebrates Women’s Fiction Authors for the Entire Month of June!

 

Each year, Women’s Fiction Day falls on June 8th, but this year we’ve got activities and events all month long. Join us in celebrating the genre of WFWA!

Women’s Fiction Day Hub—roll in May—a public space featuring:

  • A virtual book fair
  • Exciting author giveaways
  • Canva templates for WFD social promos and shout-outs
  • Searchable database of local events
  • A social shout-out contest with writerly prizes

May 7: Office Hours - All About Women’s Fiction Day

  • In this live one-hour session, we'll talk about the events we have planned for authors including resources like promo templates, giveaway ideas, and how-to guides for creating an author event or collaboration.
  • MEMBERS: CLICK HERE to RSVP and receive notification reminders about the session. A replay will be available for those who cannot attend live.
  • NON-MEMBERS: The public access replay link will be posted here on Monday, May 11.

June 8: “Ask an Author” Q&A with WFWA Guiding Scribe Laura Drake

  • This new asynchronous open forum kicks off on Women's Fiction Day, June 8th, with a week-long opportunity for members to ask our Guiding Scribe any question they'd like about the writing process. Laura will monitor the forum page and answer your questions all week long.
  • Each new forum will open on the first Monday of the month. Watch the Inside Weekly newsletter for reminders!
  • The Q&A forum is a member-exclusive event.

June 8: STAR Award Finalists Announcement

  • Join us for a live Zoom event when we’ll announce the finalists in our annual STAR Award contest for published authors of women’s fiction.

June 13-14: The Virtual Fiction Writing Conference

  • Move You & Your Story Forward - A virtual weekend of learning, connection, and forward momentum for women's fiction writers everywhere!
