Good-Time Girl by Leslie M. Rollins

Six years after ten-year-old Sophie went missing from a shopping mall, her mother, Jesse, is living in a self-destructive limbo as any sense of closure eludes her. Jesse is reunited with her daughter’s best friend, Star, who carries her own secrets about that day. These two wounded souls follow clues left by Sophie, hoping for answers to her disappearance.

Hear Us Roar! Debut Author Podcasts

Meet WFWA member Amber Cowie, who has served burgers at a frontier themed diner, hot chocolate at the only ski resort in Scotland, and pints at a gay bar in downtown Dublin. She planted trees in northern Canada and staffed the front desk of a hotel on a remote island between France and England.

Now, she is a mother of two, wife of one, reader of many, and writer of her first novel, Rapid Falls (which, as it turns out, is what she wanted to be all along). Learn more on Amber's website.
