Donald Maass Donald Maass is president of the Donald Maas Literary Agency. He has published more than 16 novels as well as several authoritative books on writing, most notably, Writing the Breakout Novel (2001). In this workshop, he focused on weaving the inner journey of the protagonist with plot points of the outer journey to make a forward-driving story.
