Bios:

Sheila Myers is a Professor at Cayuga Community College where she teaches ecology and coordinates the Honors Study Program. Sheila has spent most of her career working to educate the public about the natural world. Her first novel Ephemeral Summer (2014) is a contemporary coming-of-age story set in the Finger Lakes and intertwines many ecological themes throughout the story. Myers began writing a historical fiction trilogy about the infamous Durant family of New York after spending time at one of their Great Camps in the Adirondacks. Dr. Thomas C. Durant, is a main character on the AMC series Hell on Wheels. Sheila's last novel in the trilogy, The Night is Done, won the 2017 Literary Award from the Adirondack Center for Writing and a Kirkus starred review. Her essays and short stories have appeared in the Adirondack Life Magazine, The Stone Canoe Literary Magazine, Crossing Genres Magazine, Embark Magazine, History News Network, and the Women Writers Women’s Books blog. In addition to her speaking engagements at libraries and other venues, Sheila regularly visits and speaks with book clubs. Rachel Dacus writes magical realism fiction and poetry. She is the author of The Invisibles, a novel of sisterhood and family secrets, called “an enjoyable, romantic read.” The Renaissance Club is a time travel romance featuring the great 17th century Italian sculptor Gianlorenzo Bernini, who meets and falls for his superfan from the future. Dacus has written four poetry collections: Arabesque, Gods of Water and Air (poetry, prose, and drama), Earth Lessons and Femme au Chapeau.
