Critique Programs

Thank you for your interest in our Critique Group program. We are closed to critique group matching until August 1 while we revamp the program. In the meantime, you can follow the steps for option 1 below to join our critique Facebook group.

NOTE: If you've already submitted an interest form then you will be matched into a group soon.

At WFWA, we’re all about writers helping writers. Because we want you to succeed, we offer two options to help you improve your prose and advance your career.

Based on your needs, you can find the right fit from the choices below.

Do you need:

1) Feedback on 50 or 100 pages of prose? Your whole manuscript? A query, logline or synopsis? We’ve got you covered.

Our WFWA Critique Forum Facebook Page is a members-only group where you can connect with other writers to request feedback on your logline, query letter or synopsis. It’s also the spot to find other members willing to swap one-time 50 or 100 page critiques with you – or even trade a beta read of your whole manuscript. Log on here. (If you aren’t yet a member of that Facebook group, ask to join. Approval is automatic for WFWA members.)

2) An ongoing critique group? We can help you get one.

For members looking for an ongoing critique group, we offer a CRITIQUE GROUP MATCHING SERVICE. We do our best to place writers with similar interests into groups. Four members are matched into their own small group where they make an ongoing commitment to critique their women’s fiction writing for each other. Just log in to the WFWA website and fill out the CRITIQUE GROUP MATCHING SURVEY when it becomes available again in AugustYou’ll then be contacted by the Critique Group Coordinator to start the process.

In addition, throughout the year, WFWA offers craft workshops and programs (additional fee may apply) where members learn from leading experts and can submit their prose for feedback from instructors and classmates.

Feel free to contact the WFWA Critique Group Coordinator at any time with your questions. We’re writers helping writers, and we’re here for you.
