Getting Feedback for Your Writing: Using Beta Reading Resources and Services WiselyPresenters: Sarah BeaudetteHost: Lisa MontanaroJuly 16, 2020, 7pm-8:30pm ET Register nowDescription: We all want feedback on our work, and in fact it's critical to writing success, but feedback from some is more actionable than feedback from others. Why is that? Why is it so important to gather feedback on your manuscript, at what stage is it most helpful, what exactly are you looking for, and how do you implement the feedback once you have it? How do you know if a reader's suggestion is right for your work? We'll talk about how to find and screen beta readers, what to ask them, common story issues revealed by beta reader feedback, and what to look for in any beta reading service you might use in order to make sure you're getting only the acute, insightful feedback from the right people who will help you take your work to the next level. Bio: Sarah Beaudette is an expat living in Mexico, a graduate of Wellesley College, a mother of three, a writer, and COO at The Spun Yarn, where they believe that writing is hard and getting honest feedback shouldn’t be.
