REGISTRATION DATES: JANUARY 5, 2023 THROUGH FEBRUARY 8, 2023

WORKSHOP DATE: FEBRUARY 11, 2023, 6 PM EST

REGISTRATION FEE: $30

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

What starts out as an exciting premise can sometimes leave us banging our heads against a wall by page fifty, wondering what went wrong. But a little effort before we start writing can mean the difference between being stuck and soaring. In this workshop, you’ll learn techniques to test your premise or idea and see if it really does have what it takes to fill an entire novel. Learn basic plotting tips for both pantsers and outliners, and discover what you need to start that novel and keep yourself on track. No matter what your process is, you'll learn ways to determine if that premise has the legs to carry the novel in your head. With hands-on exercises, so bring your laptop or pages!

This workshop is a 60-90 LIVE Presentation (length will depend on the number of questions and comments received during the presentation) with a PowerPoint as well. A handout will be provided for you to download after the workshop. This presentation will be recorded and made available to all registered students beginning February 13, 2023. Commenting on this workshop will close beginning February 13, 2023. You will continue to have 30 days to access the workshop recording once commenting is closed, giving you the opportunity to visit the workshop and view the recording and download the handout. March 14, 2023, is the date this workshop will be archived and no longer accessible.
